Paramedical

Scars, vitiligo and depigmentation

Paramedical micropigmentation works where the damage already is: visible scars, depigmented areas, stable vitiligo, burns. It is not camouflage in the cosmetic sense. It is a reconstructive technique that restores visual uniformity to tissue that has lost it through medical or traumatic causes.

Common questions

Questions everyone asks

If your question isn't here, message me on WhatsApp or book a free consultation. No commitment.

  • Not all. The scar must be mature — generally at least twelve months must have passed since the injury — and the tissue must have enough receptivity to retain pigment. During the initial assessment, Esther evaluates whether the case is a candidate and with what realistic expectations.
  • Yes, for stable and localised lesions. The technique visually camouflages the affected area by matching the tone of the surrounding healthy skin. It is not a medical treatment for vitiligo, but an aesthetic solution for a diagnosed condition.
  • It depends on the extent and type of tissue. Scar tissue retains pigment differently to healthy skin, and in many cases several sessions are needed with waiting time between them to assess the response.
  • It is not mandatory, but if you have a dermatological or surgical history related to the area, bringing it to the assessment helps fine-tune the protocol.
