- You need to wait until the scar is completely mature and the tissue is stable. As a guide, at least twelve months from the procedure are usually required, but the definitive criteria are set by the oncologist or surgeon responsible for the case.
- Yes. For these interventions Esther works with the medical history and, whenever possible, in communication with the medical team. It is part of the protocol, not a bureaucratic formality.
- The area is worked on with topical anaesthesia. Sensitivity in scar tissue varies — sometimes less than in healthy skin, sometimes different. Esther adapts the session pace to how the person is feeling that day.
