Questions everyone asks
- The area is numbed with topical cream before starting. The sensation varies by area and individual tolerance, but most describe the procedure as manageable. Brows are usually more comfortable; lips tend to be slightly more sensitive.
- It depends on skin type, sun exposure and aftercare. Generally between one and three years before a maintenance touch-up is needed. Oilier skin or greater sun exposure tends to break down pigment sooner.
- Yes, without any issue. Micropigmentation is a base; conventional makeup works exactly the same on top of it.
- During the first days the pigment appears more intense than it will once healed. The full healing process takes four to six weeks. During this period avoid direct sun, swimming pools and certain products on the treated area.
- Before the session a test stroke is drawn with a dermatological pencil that Esther reviews with you. Work only begins once there is agreement. Minor adjustments are made in the included touch-up.
